This morning I woke up early, read for a while, then cleaned my kitchen. I organized my recipes for the week, did my shopping (and didn't buy anything ridiculous or unnecessary), whipped up some lemonade, and repotted my basil plant. And I still have the whole afternoon ahead of me!
It's good to be back!
If anyone wants to come over for dinner tonight, I am going to attempt that kale pie. Let me know if you want in. The more the merrier!

Date: 2009-06-16 06:47 am (UTC)I found the 1/6th of a pie serving size laughable. I cut into 4 pieces and ate one, then waited a while, then had another, though probably I only needed half of the second piece. So maybe 1/3 of a pie as a main dish, though to be fair lunch was only soup and mac/cheese and I'd just danced for an hour. I guess 1/4th might do with a big salad? I could have had a big salad but the walnuts in the kale pesto were just too compelling. I think for the remaining two slices, I will try to pair them with a good salad and some foccacia or something.
Then again, I am a big fatty who is on my way to being dead because I cannot even follow heart-healthy guidelines for policing my massive food intake.
Thanks for the recipe! I now also have some great organic heirloom kale left over and I'll have to sort it out on its own late this week or early next.
