Who says office work has to stifle your sense of humour?

An updated version of our office's weekly agenda now reads:

Visitors to the Office

August 19 – really noisy cricket

And you know what? I'm going to send it out like that. See if anyone notices. I need to find ways to keep myself sane in the land of office drudgery.

You just totally reminded me of when I was a sort of receptionist and part of my job was to send out an email stating whether or not Friday was going to be 'jeans day' and I started getting creative with it and mostly people liked it, but this one time I said something like 'I have bad news' and peopel got mad because they thought I was telling them someone died or something, and it was totally like fandom wank.

Anyway...injecting humour into a work situation is a great way to stay sane if you can get away with it. Being creative with the emails really helped me through that otherwise boring job.
