Life in wrist braces

I'm learning to work with these things. To a degree. Human beings are scarily adaptable.

A friend who came to pick me up before I took them off (oh, yes, I sure did) remarked that they looked like falconry equipment. I don't know from falconry, but they would make pretty bitchin' arm guards for archery.

(It actually wasn't my idea to take them off to go out, my mum suggested it. Probably because she took pity on me.)

This is me Being Positive, darlings. I'm even typing with them on right now. Go me. If I'm to do any serious work I shall have to remove the strap-ons (a little allusion for my lesbian friends) but for now I can keep them on.

While I have everyone's attention (all, what, five of you who read this periodically?), I am not going to ramble, I would simply like to announce that Jacob is very sweet and I like him more every day. And that I have to stop sitting next to him at games because neither of us get anything done. And that he bought me ice cream last night, which definitely makes him one of my all-time favourite people. Those who want more information are welcome to it.

In other news, my cousin the bodybuilder has apparently undergone a brain transplant. The donor must have been a very nice young man.

Seriously though, he's been better lately. The other night, he and his girlfriend spent like an hour hanging out with my mum and my aunt upstairs, while Michael and I finished watching our movie on the couch down here. This afternoon he came in here and asked me very nicely if I'd mind looking over his resume for mistakes (usually he just demands). Then tonight, we were chatting, and he said he talked to a trainer at the gym that he thinks could help me find some exercises to strengthen my wrists. I was peculiarly touched by this. He really is a sweet kid, underneath all those layers of muscle.
