I've thrown out my lunch, just to be safe
Aug. 21st, 2008 09:28 amHeard about this on the radio this morning on the way to work:
Deli meat products contaminated with listeria monocytogenes
While some of the run of infected meat was available at deli counters (possibly including the stuff I recently bought), the majority of the meat has been distributed to--get this!--hospitals and nursing homes.
The problem with recalls like this is that you know this is only what the industry is willing to admit to. The reality is likely to be so much worse.
I was really looking forward to that roast beef sandwich, too.
