Why I Deserve a Permanent Account
I realize that I am probably the least likely person out there of all those stating their cases for permanency. There are so many more people out there who are real fixtures of LiveJournal, whereas I have (as near as I can see) a fairly limited appeal. However, I would like to take this time top1mp my w1t 2 TEH m4XX0rs!!one!! remind you all what a thoughtful and entertaining poster I can be.
I waffled a bit over whether to put myself out there when I saw this criterion:
I am not considering bloggers. I am looking for journal writers. From the French word journée, the day's events. People who write essays about their day to day life, about things they've seen, about dreams they've had, about things they imagine, about things that are. If you're as remiss as I am to contributing to the art in this world, you probably won't be considered.
I definitely wouldn't call myself a journaliere, but I don't know if I'd call myself a "blogger" either. My posts are not always long, and frequently very silly, but are often preceded by a fair amount of thought. So I thought about it for a while, and I decided that, no, humour and depth are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Neither are depth and brevity. Maybe I don't write essays about my life, but I think that what I post on LJ gives a pretty clear picture of me, of the kind of person I am, and of how much I love pickles. (Which is a lot, if you didn't know.)
And then I just got really bored at work and thought, what the hell.
