Sexsi?

Remember Pepsi's "Cool Cans"? Well, apparently, people who drank way too much pepsi and had way too much time on their hands decided that if you put these two cans on top of each other, it spelled "sex". I don't know, you be the judge.

It's becoming obvious to me that my job is not as stimulating as it could be.

A care label from a bag produced by Tom Bihn, an American company.

I can't afford one of their bags, but damn, do I ever wish I could.

(For the French-impaired, the French version of the tag reads, "We are sorry that our president is an idiot. We did not vote for him.")

So I was at the bus stop, and this boy fell into the road.

Wait--wait. Back up.

So I was at the bus stop on Henderson (for non-Winnipeggers: a busy main thoroughfare). This boy came along, 19 or 20 maybe. He was obviously shit-faced--he was swaying and stumbling all over the place, and he reeked of booze. Everyone at the bus stop kept scooting farther and farther away from him, and he kept reeling more and more wildly. And then he just sort of tumbled bonelessly into the road, head-first. And didn't get up.

No one else seemed able (or willing) to do anything, so I just kind of... stood over him, waving my arms over my head so drivers could see me and swerve to avoid us. I was worried that they wouldn't be able to see him right away in the darkness and blowing snow, wouldn't be able to stop in time because of the ice. I was harder to miss. A couple of people honked at me, but nothing bad happened. Eventually, he got to his feet. And then the bus came.

He never thanked me, but I didn't expect him to. He was just a stupid drunk boy who fell into the road. And I don't flatter myself that I saved his life. I'm sure he would have been okay without my intervention. But I felt good for having done something.

I don't know why I felt I should record this. Seemed noteworthy, I guess.
